“Determined to Survive” Book Talk with Author, Amy McDonald

Sunday, August 20, 2017 @ 2:00 pm

Location: Florence-Lauderdale Public Library

Description

Max Steinmetz has dedicated his life to telling the story of his experience as a Romanian Holocaust survivor. When he met Amy McDonald, a high school teacher, he knew that she was the one to write his story. Amy was determined to research every aspect of Max’s recollections, especially those blurred by trauma. This process took her to Europe twice, providing educational connections for herself and her students.

Amy will share their story and will be happy to sign books purchased after the program.

“Determined to Survive, A Story of Survival and One Teacher’s Passion to Bring That Story to Life,” $16.50.

FREE and open to the public.
