This work recounts the Holocaust experience of Ruth Scheuer Siegler from her childhood in pre-Nazi Sinzenich, Germany through her incarceration in five different concentration camps. In the final chapters, Ruth describes her difficult journey to normalcy.

“For those who deny the events of the Holocaust, I am the proof,” Ruth writes, “Although this is my personal story, I know it is also part of the world’s history; perhaps I have contributed something of my past from which future generations may learn.”
