The Eternal Light Society is the premier philanthropic circle of the Alabama Holocaust Education Center (AHEC). Its purpose is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization, preserve Holocaust education, and expand AHEC’s reach for generations to come.
Members of this distinguished society provide transformational support, ensuring that future generations learn the lessons of history and stand against antisemitism, intolerance, prejudice and bigotry in all its forms.

- Educator Toolkit - Expanding curriculum development and professional training for educators across Alabama.
- Teacher Scholarship - Providing opportunities for teachers to travel abroad increasing their knowledge and deepen their understanding of Holocaust subject matter.
- Student Outreach & Engagement - Providing impactful programming, field trips, and projects to engage young minds.
- Community Educational Programs - Hosting lectures, commemorations, and experiences to foster dialogue, learning, and awareness.
- Artifact and Testimony Preservation - Helping maintain our collection of more than 8,000 artifacts that serve as educational tools. Preserving testimony ensues firsthand accounts are told through the voices of the Survivors.

Levels of Giving & Recognition
The Eternal Light Society offers tiered giving levels, each with unique recognition opportunities that honor your commitment. By making a major gift, you pledge to give a gift each year, for a three year period, providing critical, ongoing, sustainable funding for our programs and initiatives.
All donors will be recognized on a plaque within the Center, on our website and in regular communications sent in emails and printed materials.
- Champion ($50,000+) - Naming rights to a special area within the Center or major programming to be determined by the donor (i.e. Educator conference presented by donor)
- Educator ($25,000+) - Opportunity to host events at the Center, naming rights for specific programs.
- Visionary ($10,000+) - Exclusive opportunities to meet with thought leaders, private donor receptions, and premier recognition at all AHEC events.
- Scholar ($5,000+) - VIP seating at signature programs, and special recognition on program materials.
