As Holocaust Survivors pass away, they take with them a deeply personal connection to the past. It is our sacred responsibility to carry forward their legacy and ensure their voices continue to be heard.
There is something profoundly powerful about standing in the places where history unfolded, hearing the stories of those who lived through it, and confronting the unimaginable choices and consequences that shaped millions of lives. As we lose the last generation of Holocaust Survivors, the responsibility to preserve their stories and carry their memories forward becomes increasingly personal and urgent.
From October 9–19, 2026, 24 travelers joined the Alabama Holocaust Education Center on a profound journey through Berlin, Warsaw, and Kraków, walking the paths of history and bearing witness to unimaginable loss, extraordinary resilience, courage, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
From the historic streets of Berlin to the remnants of Jewish life in Poland, rescue, resistance, the haunting grounds of Auschwitz-Birkenau, and so much more, participants confronted difficult history, explored profound moral questions, and reflected on the choices individuals and societies make in the face of hatred and injustice.
This was more than a journey through history. It was an opportunity to understand what it means to carry the lessons of the Holocaust forward into our world today.

Trip Terms & Conditions: Berlin to Poland
October 9 – 19, 2026
1. Deposit & Payment Schedule
- A 40% nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place on
the trip. - The remaining balance is due no later than June 1, 2026.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made before May 1, 2026 will receive a refund of all payments made,
excluding the 10% deposit. - Cancellations after this date are nonrefundable unless a replacement participant is found.
3. Travel Insurance
- Comprehensive travel insurance (including trip cancellation, medical, and emergency
evacuation coverage) is strongly recommended.
4. Inclusions
- Lodging, ground transportation, selected meals, admission to scheduled activities, and
guide services are included. - Airfare to and from Europe is not included.
5. Health & Safety
- All participants must be able to walk and stand for extended periods. Please notify us in
advance of any mobility, medical concerns or special accommodations needed.
6. Itinerary
- The itinerary is subject to change due to local conditions, weather, or other unforeseen
events.
7. Documentation
- A valid passport is required. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months
beyond your return date (i.e., through April 20, 2027). - Any required visas are the responsibility of the traveler.
