Ann Mollengarden has dedicated her life to educating others about the Holocaust, and in particular, sharing her father’s story as a Holocaust Survivor. She served as the Education Director of the Alabama Holocaust Education Center (AHEC) for 20 years – since its inception in 2002, and has served on the Alabama Holocaust Commission since 2009.
In 2023, Ann stepped down from her Education position with the AHEC to work as an Applied Researcher, developing the testimonies and archiving the histories of the almost 180 Holocaust survivors who made their home in Alabama. Working with online records, national, and international Holocaust institutions and archives, Ann works with survivor family members to uncover the story of their loved ones’ journey during the Holocaust.
