Lisa Bachman is the Executive Director of the Alabama Holocaust Education Center (AHEC), where she oversees fiscal management, community and school-based programming, and serves as the organization’s chief storyteller. A passionate advocate for inclusive education, Lisa draws from both professional expertise and personal experience to lead with empathy and purpose.
Her commitment to Holocaust education is deeply informed by her journey as a parent of a child with Tourette’s Syndrome, who faced profound mental health challenges and ultimately found strength through self-acceptance. This experience inspired the founding of Different Like You, a nonprofit that empowers young people to embrace their individuality and amplify their voices—values that align closely with the core mission of AHEC.
With a career spanning over 1,000 brand campaigns, events, and fundraisers, Lisa is known for her strategic leadership, collaborative spirit, and ability to build trust across teams, partners, and funders. She brings extensive experience in managing multi-million-dollar budgets, guiding strategic planning, and serving as a passionate spokesperson for mission-driven organizations.
