Join the Alabama Holocaust Education Center for its 12th annual Holocaust in Film Series in partnership with Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema!
This installment of the 2025 Holocaust in Film Series will feature the documentary Unbroken: Would You Hide Me? by Beth Lane. The film follows the daughter of a Holocaust survivor as she embarks on an international quest to uncover answers about the plight of her mother and her six siblings who, as mere children, escaped Nazi Germany relying solely on their own youthful bravado and the kindness of German strangers.

About the Filmmaker:
Beth Lane is a multi-hyphenate artist living in Los Angeles and Ojai, California. She has produced, written, and directed the feature documentary film, UnBroken, as well as co-produced the short LGBTQ film, Romeo and Julio. Beth coaches actors for film, TV, theater, musicals and voice-over as well as non-actors in public speaking.
Beth has also written a one-woman play entitled, LINA, about her biological grandmother who perished at Auschwitz in 1943 which is in development.
