Yom HaShoah Commemoration 2025
Yom HaShoah calls on our community to unite in remembrance, reflection, and responsibility. Let us stand together to bear witness and ensure that “Never Again” is not just a phrase, but a promise.
Join us on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Birmingham’s historic Virginia Samford Theatre as the Alabama Holocaust Education Center hosts our annual Yom HaShoah Commemoration, held in conjunction with the worldwide Holocaust Remembrance Day.
This solemn gathering is more than a remembrance; it is a moral imperative. We will honor the memory of the six million Jews and countless others who perished in the Holocaust, ensuring that their stories are never forgotten. Second-generation survivors will pay tribute to victims, survivors, and liberators, and we will share a special remembrance of the five Alabama Holocaust survivors who have passed since last year’s commemoration.
The event begins at 3:00 P.M., and doors will open at 2:30 P.M. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
