This work recounts the Holocaust experience of Ruth Scheuer Siegler from her childhood in pre-Nazi Sinzenich, Germany through her incarceration in five different concentration camps. In the final chapters, Ruth describes her difficult journey to normalcy.

“For those who deny the events of the Holocaust, I am the proof,” Ruth writes, “Although this is my personal story, I know it is also part of the word’s history; perhaps I have contributed something of my past from which future generations may learn.”

… [Ruth] Siegler has written a detailed and heartbreaking memoir, full of family pictures that were saved and papers that document her journey.
